The Preston Capes Sponsored Ride is held over open farmland by kind permission of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Holloway and Mr. and Mrs. Nigel Haynes.
The main route of about 10 miles is entirely over grass with many optional fences which are professionally built with all weather take-offs and landings. There is also a shorter ride of about 3½ miles, with some smaller jumps for Juniors. Stewards are located en route.
The ride begins and ends at North Farm, Little Preston, Northamptonshire, NN11 3TF by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Coleridge. Riders are started in small groups at regular intervals between 11am and 12.30pm. There is no time limit and the ride is non competitive. However prizes are given to those raising the most sponsorship.
There were 112 riders in 2009, raising £3500 for charity.
SHORT RIDE: (approximately 3½ miles) £15 combined entry and sponsorship.
MAIN RIDE: (approximately 10 miles) £5 plus minimum sponsorship of £20, or a £25 donation. £15 for under 10s combined entry and sponsorship.

Mary Hodges, who was a member of the Committee, suffered a spinal cord injury in a hunting accident. The committee decided to support Spinal Research, as it is a cause very close to their hearts and have helped us raise vital funds for research into spinal cord repair.
