Why The Big Bounce?
Each year over 800 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. With your help, The Big Bounce aims to raise money for Spinal Research and raise awareness of the work of this charity through a fun, safe and effective exercise session.
You can strengthen your core stability by exercising using a Swiss ball. Swiss balls are large, heavy-duty inflatable balls with a diameter of 45 to 75 cm (18 to 30 inches). The Swiss ball is also known by a number of different names, including exercise ball, gym ball and Pilates ball to name a few.
The Swiss ball is one of today’s top fitness tools; it can help to improve the strength of the abs and the lower back. As the Swiss ball is unstable you have to constantly adjust your balance, which in turn will improve your balance and flexibility.
