Below are current planned events for 2009-10. We would welcome your interest in becoming a corporate supporter of Spinal Research. Alternatively if the organisation you work for supports charities, please let us know or put Spinal Research forward directly to be considered for Charity of the Year schemes and other supporting activities. Remember, many organisations have a matched giving scheme too, so for any fundraising you may do, check to see if your donation can be matched.

Racing Legends Dinner, Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, London SW1

This fundraising dinner to honor Horse Racing Legends - past and present - will be held on Tuesday 6th April 2010. Tickets cost £1500 for a table of 10 or £175 each. Other Fundraising Opportunities - Runners Network Virgin London Marathon Team

Spinal Research regularly has over 100 runners in the Virgin London Marathon each year. Why not sponsor the whole team? Included in this will be the pre reception, branded vests and t-shirts, publicity and marketing materials, photographic opportunities, exposure to celebrities. All this is subject to negotiation. RESEARCH PUBLICATION AND FUNDRAISING MATERIALS

We are seeking support from parties interested in the fundraising and research materials, which are used to provide awareness, promote and educate about spinal cord repair research and inform about fundraising events and giving opportunities. These include the fundraising newsletter, research digest newsletter, annual review, annual research review and DVD. RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

In addition there are opportunities to become involved in directly supporting the research side of the charity.

Our Annual Network Conference, which in 2009 was held in Glasgow in September, gives an opportunity for all grant holders funded by Spinal Research to meet and share their current research project results. Several sponsorship opportunities exist – including a drinks reception for scientists, clinicians and students. We would be happy to talk to you as to how your company could help in 2010.

Additionally, representatives of the charity regularly attend the annual Neuroscience Conference, held in Chicago, USA in 2009. We invest in this Conference as we are the leading charity funding research into spinal cord repair in the UK. A sponsor or several co-sponsors, who have a vested interest in the research we undertake, may consider this as an opportunity not to miss.
