Jason secured pole position for race one at the weekend in Cheshire and topped it by setting a new touring car qualifying lap record on the Oulton Island circuit! He comes in third.
Both Jason (4th) and Mat (9th) are currently in the top ten BTCC standings.

James Nash will be joining Jason and Mat for the next weekend of racing (30/21 May) at Oulton Park - and impressively for Spinal Research all three cars will be branded.

Ray Mallock Ltd announced its support of Spinal Research prior to the opening weekend of the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch. To kick start this relationship, RML placed the Spinal Research logo on its last minute BTCC entry, driven by star driver Jason Plato, which was televised on ITV4.
Formed in 1984, and celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, RML will support Spinal Research with various fundraising initiatives, online promotions, and awareness generating activities to a new audience for the charity.
This is RML’s first major involvement with a charity and the association has been fully endorsed by Ray Mallock who has suffered various back injuries during his career.
RML’s support will give us a great opportunity to further increase the impact and profile of the charity’s aims and objectives - and ultimately will make a difference to the thousands of paralysed people in the UK and around the world.”
