Ride Out for Spinal Research

Donate to the Fight Back Appeal

The Ride Out campaign was launched by the charity Spinal Research specifically for motorcyclists who love what they do but understand the risks involved. Unfortunately over 800 people a year are paralysed in the UK and a number of them were riding a motorcycle when they were hurt.

Sadly, paralysis doesn’t only mean not being able to walk again - depending on the part of the spinal cord that’s injured it can cause loss of movement in arms and hands, an inability to breathe on your own and a total lack of independence.

The Ride Out campaign is focussed on raising funds and awareness from motorcyclists so that we can get people who are paralysed walking again and back on their motorcycles.

There are a number of ways that you can support Ride Out:

  • Organise your own Ride Out event.
  • Run an existing event in aid of Ride Out.
  • Donate.

For further information about the Ride Out Campaign, please contact Isabel Robinson on 01483 898786 or Isabel@spinal-research.org

To find out more about our forthcoming events please click on our News and Report link on the left.

  • If you would like to talk through any ideas, then please call the Spinal Research fundraising team on 01483 898 786 or email isabel@spinal-research.org. We're here to help you.
