Join Ride Out and help us get people who are paralysed walking again and back on their motorcycles!

As someone who is passionate about motorcycles, you know there is nothing to compare with the excitement, freedom and adrenaline from being on two wheels.

Unfortunately, over 800 people in the UK are paralysed due to accidents every year and too many of these are motorcyclists. That’s why the charity launched its Ride Out campaign – so that bikers can give something back and help those who have a spinal cord injury.

Paralysis doesn’t only mean being unable to walk again - depending on the part of the spinal cord that’s injured it can cause loss of movement in arms and hands, an inability to breathe on your own, the loss of feeling and a distressing lack of independence. To lose the freedom of the road is bad enough, to lose the ability to live without daily help is much worse.

To find out how you can help click on the links on the left. Your support will help us to get bikers out of their wheelchairs. For further information about the Ride Out Campaign, please contact Isabel Robinson on 01483 898786 or Isabel@spinal-research.org

For further information about organising an event or raising funds for Ride Out please call 01483 89 87 86 or email rideout@spinal-research.org.
