Wetherby Race Day 2019

In aid of Spinal Research

29th Spinal Research Charity Race Day

Wetherby Racecourse Wednesday 16th October 2019

The Spinal Research Race Day is the first of the season at Wetherby Race Course. Our marquee is located within the Paddock Enclosure adjacent to the Parade Ring.

Guests will enjoy a Champagne Reception, three course meal and plenty of opportunities for a flutter. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and people donating auction and raffle prizes, the day hopes to raise over £40,000. This money will fund vital research into a cure for spinal cord injury to transform the lives of people who are paralysed.

This year, our Ambassador Tara Stewart will be talking about what our research means for her and her hopes for the future. Why not book your tickets now for what promises to be the highlight of the racing calendar!

It is a great event and lovely to see so many people supporting such a worthy cause.

This very special event was started by Rachel Wright, a remarkable woman who had a spinal cord injury due to a riding accident when she was just 21 years old. This race day has continued in her memory and has evolved into an annual event that regularly raises thousands of pounds for Spinal Research.
